What does a conveyancer do for you?

As your Conveyancer for your property settlement(s), I will attend to the following tasks on your behalf:


  • Review the contract and form 1 documentation for settlement purposes.
  • Ask you to sign a client authorisation.
  • Conduct your Verification of Identity.
  • Liaise with government departments and local authorities such as a local council in relation to your property.
  • Provide advice on the effect of the contract for the sale of land in particular any relevant special conditions.
  • Prepare and certify legal transfer documents.
  • Stamp documents as required.
  • Calculate the adjustments of rates and taxes.
  • Prepare settlement statements.
  • Liaising with mortgagees and financiers.
  • Attend to any tenancies connected with the property as applicable.
  • Attend to matters relevant and specific to your transaction.
  • Attend at settlement whether in person or electronically via PEXA.
  • Store relevant documents.

As your Conveyancer with regards to a land division I will attend to the following tasks on your behalf:


  • Consider your division requirements.
  • Liaise with the Surveyor regarding the subdivision plan.
  • Prepare land division documentation.
  • Liaise with any registered interests on title and obtain the relevant consent(s).
  • Conduct your Verification of Identity.
  • Attend to Stamping of documentation as required.
  • Attend to lodgement of the land division documentation with SA Lands Titles Office.

As your Conveyancer with regards to private sales I will attend to the following tasks on your behalf:


  • Attend to preparation of contract and form 1 documentation when acting for a Seller.
  • Review the contract and form 1 documentation when acting for a Buyer.
